Unearthodox was launched in 2023 from the former Luc Hoffmann Institute, which played a pivotal role in mobilising world-class expertise in the realms of science, policy and practice. During 2024, we completed the work that was initiated prior to Unearthodox’s establishment.
We published the "Scaling conservation innovation: the role of incubators and accelerators" report, the culmination of a two-year deep dive into how incubators and accelerators can use social innovation to help drive us towards more regenerative futures. We also published our report "Narratives, Frames and Future Horizons of Nature-based Solutions", successfully concluding our collaboration with the Nature-based Solutions Initiative. This work reaffirmed our commitment to regenerative futures as a response to complex, systemic challenges.
Meanwhile, as a continuation of the Future of Conservation NGOs project, which concluded at the end of 2023, we were proud to support the launch of Global Conservation Connect (GCC) on World Earth Day 2024. This new virtual community of practice brings together changemakers from around the world to share knowledge, spark innovation, and tackle the root causes of environmental degradation together.
