Exploration Co-Lab

Aspiration: To create a transformative space that fosters deep connections among visionary changemakers, thus building a critical mass of leaders to reimagine and redesign systems that address the root causes of today’s interconnected social and environmental challenges.

The Exploration Co-Lab is Unearthodox’s response to a critical gap in innovation: the need for a space dedicated to systemic transformation.

Too often, innovators working across sectors face isolation, fragmented support, and resistance to bold ideas. The Co-Lab offers a different model; one that embraces experimentation, fosters radical collaboration, and champions regenerative principles to drive lasting transformation.

Building on this vision, the Co-Lab focuses on empowering innovators, not just their ideas. Our intention for the programme is to honour the wisdom and experience of innovators, and support their capacity as change-makers.

Meet the Innovators

In its current phase, the Co-Lab is working with bold systems innovators who are redefining how we live, work, and coexist with nature. The programme is built as a two-fold support system, offering:

  • Deep allyship to help innovators navigate entrenched systemic barriers and cultivate resilience.
  • Resources to refine, test, and scale regenerative solutions that address root causes and create lasting impact.

The programme itself was co-created with our inaugural cohort of seven innovators, ensuring it reflects the needs and aspirations of those driving change.

Who’s involved?

  • Critical Minds: A global group of experts and collaborators who will provide support across the three levels of intervention, playing a vital role both as connectors and enablers.
Meet the Critical Minds
  • Coaches: Specialists who offer strategic support and mentorship to enhance the impact and development of innovators and their work.
Meet the Coaches
  • The Exploration Co-Lab is also informed by research done in collaboration with the Post-Growth Institute. The resulting paper, Nurturing Innovation: Weaving containers with care and courage for collective change, offers a grounded and practice-based inquiry into how we can better enable the emergence of systemic innovation in today’s complex world, through slow, relational, and deeply contextual work. It responds to the gap left by decades of framing innovation in terms of speed, measurability, and scale.

How it works

We support change at three different levels of the system, from individual ideas to ecosystem-wide collaboration.
