Towards a multidimensional biodiversity index
Can we create a headline index that captures, values and communicates the state of biodiversity in its complex dimensions including links to human well-being? On 25-26 June 2019 in Zurich, innovators, philanthropists, academics, inter-governmental, non-governmental and business representatives gathered to incubate such an index. The initiative was led by the Luc Hoffmann Institute, partnering with UNEP-WCMC.
A multidimensional biodiversity index would strengthen policy-making, impact measurement, investment decisions and resource allocation.
