Lives well lived

This is a work of speculative fiction about the kind of legacy that non-traditional forms of leadership could shape. The piece is inspired by principles of living systems and interconnectedness, where feminine values and network forms of leadership give space for living and non-living to exist together.

Ayana, a mother and loving human, helps others to create and experiment; she listens, encourages and enables. The piece is a retirement speech as she leaves formal employment, describing some of the regenerative practices she has helped to foster across her life’s work. The vision and initiatives allow us to imagine what is within our reach and how we could accompany a radical shift in our relationships with each other and with our urban and peri-urban ecosystems. Ayana’s legacy allows us to dream of lives well lived with and as part of nature.
